Steve's training was obtained at both small and large firms of Chartered Accountants. Qualifying in 1981, he gained substantial experience in the preparation of small business accounts, together with the completely different techniques involved in the audit of major public companies. Steve joined Nicholsons in 1988 and became a partner in 1990.
Over the years Steve's main interest has come to be in all forms of taxation. He is now one of the firm's tax specialists and deals with our more complex tax planning situations as well as looking after a portfolio of general practice clients.
During his time at Nicholsons Steve has been involved in all types of taxation planning relating to Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax. Steve has been closely involved in the sale of several family companies and has assisted in the creation of a substantial number of Family Trusts. He is, in fact, a Trustee of a number of these trusts.
Steve enjoys his social life, foreign travel and is a keen follower of football.
