FANTASTIC SUCCESS as Charity Ball raises £3813.16!
On 19th September 2008 over 170 people donned their Tuxedo’s and glitzy gowns and enjoyed a fantastic evening of fine food, wine, dancing, and fundraising for 2 well deserving local charities.
Nicholsons Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers held their 4th annual Charity Ball at The Lawn in Lincoln, and with the help of many clients and local businesses, were able to raise in excess of £3500. Lincoln MS Therapy Centre and Macmillan Nurses Lincoln Area were the chosen charities for this year – and representatives from both of these worthy local organisations were on-hand to tell the guests how the money would be used to support local people at a time when they need it most.
With this thought fresh in their minds, guests dug deep into their pockets during the charity auction where guests were able to bid on a vast array of spectacular items ranging from unusual sporting and film memorabilia to sensational ‘experience’ prizes including an Audi TT for the weekend and a relaxing flotation tank experience to name but a few!
Following the auction and raffle, guests were able to fritter away £10,000 each on the casino which was packed all evening – and if they fancied a break from the casino the music from the disco ensured that the dance floor was jam-packed all evening!
A fantastic time was had by all, and when carriages arrived at 1am all guests went away knowing that the true winners of the evening were the local charities supported by this wonderfully enjoyable annual event!
